Privacy policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
87PX Creative Studio ("87PX", "we", "us") is an independent creative studio in South Wales. This policy explains what personal information we handle when you use 87px.co.uk or get in touch, and what rights you have. We are the controller for that information under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
What we collect
- Things you send us. If you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you put in the message.
- Basic technical data. Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.
We don't use analytics, advertising trackers or contact forms on this site, and we don't buy or sell personal information.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to deliver the project. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and then performing that contract.
- To keep the site running and secure. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a safe website.
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping business and tax records.
Other services the site uses
- Netlify hosts the site and processes server logs on our behalf.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces. Your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address. Google says it does not use this to profile you.
- YouTube. Our film tiles link to YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you click one, and from then on YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK law.
How long we keep it
We keep emails and project details only for as long as we need them for your enquiry or project, plus any period the law requires us to keep business records. Then we delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. Email chris@87px.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
